The palette brightened up

In 1986-1987 a transformation occured. To the four fundamental laws which are drawing, composition, colour and matter, he tries to add a fifth one very important for him and which he calls "the intensity of light in the colour"

If we are in admiration in front of works of the school of Barbizon of the XIXth century, we must however admit that these paintings are often very dark and do not reflect what Nature offers to our eyes.

By way of proof the revolution of the Impressionists. The impressionists wanted to capture the very moment and to restore what they really saw in Nature. They thus thought of succeeding to exceed the concept of traditional"chiaroscuro"(twilight) which prevailed since the Renaissance.
